1977 Tartan 38

1977 Tartan 38

“Northerly” is a classic Sparkman and Stephens design that is ready to be raced or cruised once again!

On Deck: The Tartan 38 is well known for its easy sailing characteristics and excellent build quality. Hand-laid fiberglass cored with end grain balsa delivers a striking modern look; while the tall rig provides ample sail area. Sheets can be easily accessed from the cockpit and the halyard winches on the mast keep the cockpit from feeling cluttered so the crew can focus on that perfect sail trim. Cockpit also comes equipped with beautifully varnished teak bench tops to ensure you are cruising in style. Non-skid applied to all flat surfaces makes handling any of the 10 sails in inventory an easy and safe proposition.

Down Bellow: Through the companion way you will be enveloped in a light and well finished teak interior. A horseshoe galley is located to starboard with a chart table to port. Aft of the chart table is a double berth. The main saloon includes a drop down table, L shaped settee to port, and above the settee to starboard is a sea berth. An enclosed head is forward of the main saloon with a large v berth just forward. Ample storage can be found throughout this well appointed classic cabin.
